ARTZUID 2013
ARTZUID is the international sculpture route in the Netherlands. The next edition of the open-air exhibition runs from 24 May to 22 September 2013 and is free to visit. During ARTZUID 2013, Apollolaan, Minervalaan, Churchilllaan and the Zuidas in Amsterdam-Zuid will be transformed into avenues where you can enjoy a pleasant walk past museum-quality art. The sculptures are displayed in the setting of the exceptional architecture of the Amsterdam School.

CINTHA VAN HEESWIJCK initiator of ARTZUID
Cintha van Heeswijck set up the ArtZuid foundation in 2008. She wanted to revitalise the neighbourhood where her children are growing up and draw greater attention to the urban expansion of the south of Amsterdam, known as the Plan-Zuid, designed by architect H.P. Berlage almost a hundred years ago. In order to reach the widest possible audience, she has found cutting-edge curators to compile the sculpture exhibition: the choice was for Michiel Romeyn in 2009 and Jan Cremer in 2011. The curator for ARTZUID 2013 will be announced next year. ARTZUID 2011 attracted 350,000 visitors and the ArtZuid foundation wants to welcome 500,000 visitors to Amsterdam Zuid in 2013.

FREE ENTRY
Young and old will once again be able to enjoy the sculptures and people of ARTZUID free of charge in the summer of 2013. Schools can already register for a visit. Group tours and exclusive guided tours can also now be booked via info@artzuid.nl.
