Under the direction of artist Maria Hovius and a team of enthusiastic volunteers, the children get the chance to develop their creative skills and experience being a real artist for five days. During outdoor walking tours of public art and a visit to the AkzoNobel corporate art collection at the Zuidas, the children hear about the ideas behind the works of art. At the same time they learn to recognise different materials, shapes, contours, colours, volumes, surfaces and techniques. Plenty of inspiration!
In the studio the children learn to work with various techniques and materials, such as wood, plastic, cardboard, metal, stone, foam, plaster and clay. All works of art created by the children are displayed in an exhibition for family and friends at the end of the week.
