Foundation ArtZuid is an initiative of a number of residents from Amsterdam South. Since last year we have engaged a growing number of volunteers to revive our splendid environment in an appropriate manner. How do we plan to achieve this?

In the first place, we organise the sculpture route ArtZuid on the Apollolaan and Minervalaan from August 16 through October 26, 2009. These avenues create the ideal setting to exhibit art. The sculpture route is a superb reason for a late summer stroll. Besides a surprising combination of artwork, people will rediscover the beautiful vistas that architect Berlage incorporated in the city design of the southern part of Amsterdam in 1917, the so called Plan-South.

During the weekend children will be able to attend the Art Workshop. On car-free Sunday everyone is most welcome to join the neighborhood picnic among the sculptures.
